Initial situation

The property is in an exposed location directly on the banks of the Elbe in Finkenwerder at the entrance to the Hamburg port area

The high-rise building was commissioned in 1959 by the Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft (HDW), which had become Germany's largest shipbuilding company and one of the world's most important shipyards

The building has 21,900 m² GFA on 14 floors above ground

The current tenants are mainly suppliers to the aviation industry at the Finkenwerder location

The high-rise building stands on a basement which provides flood protection and is also used as an underground car park
